ACCORDING TO THE PLT, HE WAS TURNING TO FINAL APPROACH WHEN THE GLIDER'S LEFT WING STRUCK THE GROUND. REPORTEDLY, HE HAD GOTTEN 'TOO LOW & SLOW.'
