Narrative:On 22 January 1944 Lt(jg.) James McGee of VC-11, Naval Auxiliary Air Station Holtville, was killed at 1654 hrs when his FM-1 Buno 15568 crashed into the Salton Sea. The plane ( (General Motors built) was a complete loss.
