Narrative:
Republic F-84E-30-RE Thunderjet 51-637, 7th FBS, 49th FBG, USAF: Written off (damaged beyond repair) January 5 1951. Hit by AAA in combat operations over North Korea near Hyophong-ni, crashed into mountain at 11:10 LT.
Pilot 1st Lt Donald G Grey, USAF (Service Number AO-943903) killed

First Lieutenant Grey was the pilot of a F-84E Thunderjet fighter with the 7th Fighter-Bomber Squadron, 49th Fighter-Bomber Group. On January 6, 1952, while on a combat mission near near Hyophong-ni, Pyŏngsŏng, South Pyongan, North Korea, his aircraft received a direct hit by anti-aircraft fire, crashed into a mountain and burst into flames. His remains were not recovered. Originally from North Coventry Township, Pennsylvania. Son of Mrs. Helen Grey of Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Final Disposition Date: January 30, 1952 when declared officially "Killed In Action"
