Spitfire BR630 sustained Category A damage in a mid-air collision with Spitfire AB460 during flying practice. Landed safely at base. F/O Arthur Ince RCAF was uninjured.
The Spitfire was repaired on site and returned to service.
On 15/8/43 BR630 was lost in action during combat with Fw190s near Gravelines.
