Narrative:
Took off on 21-12-1940 at 23:00hrs from LG09 Bir Koraiyim.
The crew was on a mission to bomb Berka aerodrome when an engine failed en route, forcing the pilot to reduce his altitude and to attempt an emergency landing. The aircraft crash landed and came to rest in flames in a desert area located 30 miles southeast of Sidi Barrani, Matruh, Egypt. The aircraft was wrecked while all crew six members were rescued after a long walk to the coastal road.
